Prior to Centro Hispano Milwaukee, Ms. Rivera-Joachin served as the Project Ujima Manager, mentoring violence prevention and intervention programs across the United States through Children's Hospital. Ms. Rivera-Joachin served as the Associate Director at Aurora Weier Educational Center. She holds a Master's degree in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University and a Bachelor's degree in Community Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In 2010, Ms. Rivera-Joachin completed the Latino Nonprofit Leadership program offered by UW-Milwaukee. She is dedicated to advocating for and improving the lives of vulnerable populations in our community. Ms. Rivera-Joachin is married and has two beautiful daughters.

Since Centro Hispano beginning in 1964, Centro has always recognized the preeminent role that this essential organization has played in this community as an advocate of the under served, in particular Latinos.  The organization serves thousands of individuals and families in multiple locations. In collaboration with its partners, and through its advocacy work, these efforts directly impact children, families, the elderly, immigrants, and non-English speaker's.

Centro Hispano Milwaukee serves a comprehensive mix of bilingual social services. The agency's bilingual staff has a reputation for effectively intervening with system institutions on behalf of Latinos in matters of civil rights, other social needs, housing, and immigration. Our six buildings dedicated to subsidized housing continue to provide access and shelter to the elderly and mobility impaired.
